Combating Crime
All the details of the Mobile Phones we replace under our scheme will be entered onto a system called SEND. This system records the handset serial number but no personal details.
SEND is accessed by the police and it will enable them to tell if a handset has been claimed on i.e. it might well have been stolen. So if someone is out there using your handset they could get a nasty shock if ever questioned by the police.
